How does automatic clock-in work?
Gcina Indlu offers three methods — your employer chooses which one applies to you.
Geofence: Your phone detects when it enters or leaves your employer's property using GPS. No action needed from you.
Home Wi-Fi: You are clocked in automatically when you open the app while connected to your employer's home network.
Manual: You tap the clock-in button yourself when you arrive.
Do workers need to create an account?
No. Workers connect to their employer using a personal invite link. There's no sign-up, no password, and no email address required on the worker's side. The app is also completely free for workers.
Can a worker be connected to more than one employer?
Yes. Workers can accept invite links from multiple employers and switch between them in the app. When you're near an employer's home, Gcina can switch to that employer's view automatically.
What happens if there's no internet connection?
Gcina Indlu is offline-first. Everything — tasks, clock-in, notes — is stored on the device and works without a connection. When the phone is back online, data syncs automatically between employer and worker. If the worker has access to your home Wi-Fi, they will never need to use their mobile data.
How do I add a worker?
In the employer app, go to the Workers tab and tap "Add worker". Enter their name and role, choose a clock-in method, and tap Share Invite Link. Send that link to your worker however you like — WhatsApp, SMS, email. They tap it, download the app, and are connected.
How do I remove a worker?
Go to the Workers tab, tap the worker's name, and tap "Remove worker" at the bottom of their profile page. They will be deactivated and will no longer appear in your dashboard.
What's the difference between Basic and Premium?
Basic (R9.99/month) — everything you need for a household with up to 2 workers.
Premium (R49.99/month) — all Basic features plus unlimited workers. Ideal if you employ a cleaner, gardener, nanny, and more.
Both plans include a 1-month free trial.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play. To cancel, go to your device's subscription settings and cancel from there. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Is my data private?
Yes. Data is stored securely and only shared between the employer and the workers they have connected. We don't sell or share your data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
